Nick's Old FashionedHamburger House
About us
Nick’s Old Fashioned Hamburger House first opened its doors on April 1, 2010, in the heart of Welcome, North Carolina. Founded by Ralph Brauser and his family, Nick’s was built on a simple but powerful mission: serve fresh, high-quality food while being an active part of the local community. Named after Ralph and Amy’s son, Nick’s quickly became a neighborhood favorite.
In 2020, Jeremy and Casey Haynes, lifelong North Davidson residents, proudly took over the restaurant, committed to carrying on the tradition. At Nick’s, everything starts with fresh, never-frozen local meats, hand-rolled daily and cooked to order—nothing is ever pre-made. We hand-cut our vegetables every day, craft our chili, ranch, and thousand island dressings from scratch, and hand-bread our signature pork chops. Even our all-beef gourmet hot dogs are a point of pride.
What makes Nick’s truly special is our unwavering dedication to the community that’s been with us from the start. We take pride in sourcing fresh, never-frozen meats, crisp vegetables, and other quality ingredients from local farms and suppliers—so every meal not only tastes better but helps support our neighbors. But Nick’s is more than just a place to grab a great burger. It’s where families gather, where laughter is always on the menu, and where everyone feels like they belong. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or sitting down to make lasting memories, Nick’s is a fun, family-friendly spot where all generations feel at home.
